I’m speaking as the father of the bride(s), as Grift Weddings played for one daughter’s wedding in Vermont in late 2013 and again at my other daughter’s wedding in Boston (yep!) in August, 2015. They rocked the house, both times.  

At wedding #1, Clint and Peter played acoustic guitars during the late afternoon ceremony, out on a lawn near a cornfield overlooking the Adirondacks. Then they played bluegrass/country during the cocktail hour, and then three hours straight after dinner (with a keyboardist during dinner). I think they took one 10-minute break during that time. Honestly, I don’t know how they kept their breath (and vocal cords) that long, and they played almost non-stop… one song going right into another.  

This daughter decided she didn’t want to do the traditional father/daughter dance thing, so she worked with Clint to come up with a mash-up of five songs, starting with ‘Brown-Eyed Girl’ for 45 seconds and right into ‘Everybody Dance Now,’ ‘Old Time Rock ‘n Roll,’ and ‘September.’ We did up a little dance routine in advance and the crowd was speechless! After that, the dance floor was packed all night.  

When my other daughter got engaged, we immediately called Clint about coming to Boston and he was all over it! His only concern was, ‘Will they let us in there?’, joking, of course. They played acoustic during the cocktail hour (at the Omni Parker House hotel), keyboard during dinner and then a couple hours afterwards, kicking off with “Twist and Shout” and hardly stopping after that. Once again, the dance floor was packed all night. Everyone had a blast.  

The other thing to note is that these guys are truly nice guys, most Middlebury College grads. Clint is a great MC for introductions and toasts, and they are just a pleasure to work with.
